Activity + Eating for Teens: Healthy Tips for Teens

This 8-page booklet emphasizes making balanced food choices using MyPlate, limiting empty-calorie foods, choosing healthy snacks and beverages, participating in daily physical activity and more. To successfully teach this program download the Educator Guide and the PowerPoint Presentation.

The family of nutrition resources align to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, incorporates a behavior change model and reinforces making small steps to a healthier lifestyle. All booklets have been approved by the California Department of Health Care Services as meeting readability and suitability requirements for Medi-Cal managed care plans and are available in English and Spanish.

These booklets can be used one-on-one, as a handout or in a group setting.
