Explore Dairy: K–2nd Grades Educator Guide

We are excited to pilot Let’s Eat Healthy Together: Explore Dairy. As a new resource, we invite you to share feedback on your experience so we can continue to improve our resources. Order the Educator Guide to successfully teach the Explore Dairy unit with easy to follow instructions and accessible links.

Designed by California educators, Let's Eat Healthy Together: Explore Dairy builds value for milk and dairy foods in a healthy, sustainable eating pattern through five 20-30 minute lessons of videos, taste tests, extension activities and more. This educational unit invites students to use all their senses on a journey of food discovery through nutrition, agriculture and cultural traditions.

Based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and to complement public health programs, the Explore Dairy unit references MyPlate as a visual reminder to make healthy eating choices that are varied, balanced and customizable.

Designed by Dairy Council of California in partnership with California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, San Joaquin County Office of Education, Lodi Unified and educators.
